Especially around this time of the year of exams, we tend to stress and overthink about them. Overthinking and being too stressed can really hinder how you participate during your final exams. A way for you keep calm is before you can begin to address or cope with your habit of overthinking, you need to learn to be aware of it when it's happening. Any time you find yourself doubting or feeling stressed or anxious, step back and look at the situation and how you're responding. Also, most of you are probably thinking what can go wrong, when you should be thinking what can go right. Overthinking can cause the emotion of fear if you only think the negative possibilities. Try to visualize all the things that can go right so you’ll keep your thoughts positive and present. Another thing is that you may believe distractions prevent you from studying. That’s true, but not all distractions are the same. Distract yourself with happy and positive alternatives. One last thing is that overthinking loses so much of your time. Many students complain that they don’t have enough time. Although, most of time, they use what time they have left with overthinking about the future instead of focusing on the present moment.
