Its the time of year again for exams! Everyone feels stressed out, with sleepless night and hours, and hours of studying. Although exams can be stressful, here are a few tips on how you can prepare for exams.
1. Chunk your study time. This can be very effective, especially if you have more than one exam to study for. This means taking breaks in between your study times. Have you ever studied straight for 3 hours? Although you may want to review a lot of information at once, this can be ineffective. Taking breaks also allows you to to take time for yourself. But, don't get distracted!
2. Get good sleep. Studying can keep us awake all night long, but sleep is important too! This heals the body and mind, getting you ready for the next day ahead.
3. Study with a snack! I always like to have a small, healthy snack when studying. It helps me to focus better, plus is like a reward for studying!
4. Keep your phone away from you. Having your phone next to you may tempt you to go on it, and you may end up scrolling on Instagram for 5 hours in stead of studying. Instead, you can put your phone in the next room, or somewhere out of reach so you do not feel tempted to go on it.
5. Always remember, you have people to help you! If you have a question, ask to clarify an answer. If you are feeling overwhelmed, you can talk to family members and friends.
In the end, put in your best effort. You can do it!
