Feed It Forward

"Canada throws away $31 billion worth of consumable food every year - 40% of all food produced in Canada ends up in landfill - 40%! - while 1 in 7 (or 4.9 million) people live in poverty."~ Chef Jagger Gordon.

Can you imagine going home and not having food on your table? Well, a lot of people in Toronto go home and cannot afford to have a proper meal, so they starve instead. Chef Jagger Gordon wants to make a change. He currently has a soup kitchen, where you can pay as much as you can in the grocery store, to help people in need. Nothing there has a price, and its all organic.

Jagger Gordon wants stores and people to stop throwing out food if it is not rotten yet. He believes if it still good and if you do not want it, you could donate it to a food bank, homeless shelter, or Feed It Forward.

O'CONNOR is supporting FEED IT FORWARD by volunteering, and fundraising money for them. Mrs. Young brought it to O'Connor and has a group of students by her side.
