Migos is an american hip-hop and trap group that consist three members by the name of Quavo (Quavious Keyate Marshall), Offset (Kiari Kendrell Cephus) and TakeOff (Kirshnik Khari Ball). These three formed together in 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia. They are also all related with Quavo being TakeOff’s uncle and Offset being Quavo’s cousin. Since 2009, they have been releasing mixtapes hoping that one day they can be recognized for all the music they worked on.
In 2013, they had their breakout single ‘Versace’. Helping out on their success, multi-platinum artist Drake, decided to add his own verse to the song to make a remix which even helped Migos to become more successful. Later that year, they released another mixtape by the name of Y.R.N. After a couple of more successful years of releasing new mixtapes, they finally decided that it was time for them to release their first album. Their first album was called ‘Yung Rich Nation’, which gave them a little more success. Following more success, they came out with the single ‘Bad and Boujee’, which totally exploded across america and gave a name to Migos. That song went platinum which also helped the album the just recently released go platinum as well.
The rap style that Migos uses is a very unique and different type of style that no one has ever even heard before. They use ad-libs within their music to make sound effects and they would rap over it to make their songs sound very nice and clean. They were also one of the major trio in rap that is left now to be as successful as they have become, without separating. Famous artists across america want to be have some sort of involvement with Migos due to the fact that they kind of created their own genre of music. If you are reading this and you have any type of spare time on your hands… GO ahead and listen to a Migos song if you haven’t too already, you will be shocked of what you are listening too.
