What Millennials Are Lacking Most

The millennials carry a big percentage of the population of the youth of today. As different generations endure different problems, the generation of millennials might endure the most throughout history. Our biggest enemy is ourselves, and it's not our fault. This generation is born in a generation where technology is a necessity for your daily activities. Technology can benefit our generation with educational research such as Google, but with this social media that is assessable for an unlimited time period. We start to enslave ourselves to things that do not matter. Depression is one of our generation's biggest problems. Instead of collaborating we now compete with each other social media platforms where we have to constantly compare each other to one's life.
We the millennials want instant gratification, instant results. We became so impatient, and the saddest thing it is not our faults. We were born into the generations where you do not have to wait for your favourite show to come on. Where you do not have to wait for movie times at your local Cineplex. Where you do not need to learn how to be smooth when flirting with someone you have feelings for. Our generation supplied us with Netflix, Tinder, Kijjij. We been so use to this type of mentality to the point we do not know how it's like to work hard, and for it to pay off.
Now the question is do we control our phones? Or do the phones control us? This is a question worth asking yourself as you read this article, because just think for a moment on how much time we waste liking pictures of people we don't really know. Claiming certain friendships with certain people because we have a snapchat streaks or we are tagged in each other's pictures. Just because someone messages you a paragraph on iMessage does not mean they have your back for life. Our generation. We became disconnected, and for that, life will pass us before our eyes . Would you want to die knowing most of the time you were comparing yourself , or would you want to go on adventure, and actually build friendships, feel real emotions, feel hard work. Seeing and feeling a moment in your life that is an actual story. Not a story that you can only keep for 24 hours and showcase for 10 seconds.
